Well, whenever there’s an entry, something significant must have happened. This time round, the date to note is 31 Jan 2015.

“180306 My First Love . My Only Darling 310110” This is the message etched onto our champagne gold rings which we wear day in, day out.

For the past 5 years, we have been spending this anniversary with each other, but this year is different as we have a bundle of joy in our midst to celebrate together with us!

We went back to where it all began, Shangri-la Hotel with the dreamy Waterfall Terrace and the pond full of colourful Koi. The place where we held our ROM reception has been converted into a Cafe called The Waterfall but the charm of the place and the memories of us walking down the terraces to friends shouting and throwing rose petals is still fresh in my mind. We had high tea with Cutie at The Rose Veranda, sipping TWG tea and having nibbles of the buffet line. Cutie is having an infant high tea buffet of her own too, mainly having bites off slices of fruits.

Happy Wedding Anniversary!

Cutie had a new bathing indulgence as introduced by Darling… …a Literal Milk Bath! And we are using Real Milk….Breast Milk! Hahaha yeah! So No fear of Cutie drinking her bath-tub water already, since it’s breast milk anyway. Ever since Cutie refused to drink the frozen expressed breast milk, they are left in our freezer, taking up precious space for our ice-creams…haha, so what better way to use them but to use them for Milk Shower! Maciam Empress Dowager, we have Mini-Princess Charlotte enjoying her Breast Milk Bath. Priceless smile…

The last 3 weeks has been a culinary roadtrip for us. First we went to Rose Veranda for our Anniversary high-tea, 1 week before our actual anniversary, then 1 week later, we visited the Botanical Gardens where we had brunch at Food For Thought. The botanical gardens is also another memorable place for us since it is where Darling received her first bouquet of 99 roses from me, back at the day when Au Jardin was still open for business. Food for thought is quite a child friendly place with their own in-house playground, complete with a slide. It’s spacious to accomodate strollers and baby chairs inside and food is not too bad. Parking is a breeze as the carpark is just outside the restaurant. After brunch, we had a stroll inside Botanical Gardens, exposing Cutie to the many big trees and green leaves and colourful blooms along the way. Weather was hot though and Cutie fell asleep quite fast in her stroller. Haha, in the end, it’s only darling and me enjoying the scenery, pushing Cutie in the stroller. According to darling, THIS is the image of a blissful life! Husband and Wife, pushing a baby pram with a sleeping baby inside, strolling through the park….if only the weather is more cooling…

Cutie loves to crawl around now and she is standing up more easily too. She can walk really fast forward holding on to our fingers. Of course she don’t know what is fear…haha venturing forth to every corner of the house. She will also attempt to squeeze into any holes (under chairs, tables, TV consoles). Cutie even managed to find a way to climb out of her teak chair! (Which I congratulated her for… Haha, I think it takes creativity and imagination to maneuver her way out of the chair and she deserves the credit!).

Go Forth My Cutie! Have no fear! But please do it in our presence lah!

Next up are some cute pics that we took along the way with Cutie and there’s a cute faceoff between Cutie and Joshua!

Can’t wait to have a family hug with my darling and Cutie later!

Happy birthday!

Today I am the biggest shot coz it’s my birthday today! Haha. Nolah, my darling will still be the biggest shot around…heehee.
5 may 2010, my first birthday as a married man! My first birthday with a ring around my right 4th finger.
My birthday wish remains the same: to be with my darling happily together, forever!
We are going to have a sushi and sashimi feast tonight at Megumi Japanese restaurant…I hope I didn’t get the name wrong. Darling shall treat me! Yay! Free delicious shiok dinner with a gorgeous lady, what else can a man ask for? I’m the luckiest man alive!

We are married!!

31 Jan 2010, we are finally married! After such a long preparation, wah, really a big big stone off our shoulders.
The ROM was great! We even got time to prepare our personalized vows! Lolz, really sweet!
Shangri-la is really a great place for marriage ceremonies. The service is excellent and we were never disappointed with their service from start till end. Thank you Melanie for all your help!
Shangri-la provided us with a nice upgrade of room to the garden wing where we have a nice balcony overlooking the swimming pool, with the waterfall outside out hotel door and the waterfall terrace directly beneath our room.
Here, darling can do her make up while listening to the sound of the cascading waterfall. The room is spacious and clean and it has a nice big mirror for the make up too =)
I was ecstatic when I saw our flower deco! They are huge! The flowers are of big blooms and fresh and nice colours of pink. Our solemnisation table is beautifully decorated with a huge flower centerpiece and it compliments our feather pen too!
Next comes darling’s huge flower bouquet consisting of pretty pink roses with huge orchids! The stalks are nicely laced up and lined with pearls too. The even provided some loose flowers for darling’s hair deco.
We did a good long march in down the waterfall terrace walkway, lined with rose petals and petal confetti before sitting down at the solemnisation table. There is a minor hiccup though, Lolz, the ring bearer forgot to place the rings on our table! Haha, Lucky got the ever cute Claire who quickly zoomed in, placed the ring pillow, zoomed out before anyone notices.
Just to share the vows we made to each other
Mine —
“Darling, I will love you for who you areand I will accompany you for the rest of our lives.
I will try my best to complement you for we are always a team.
I will always make time for you, because without you, nothing else matters.
I will continue to give you surprises because you are my first love and my only darling.
I will lend you my ears when you need to complain and be your punching bag is needed.
I will give you my warmth if you ever feel cold and make sure you don’t shiver.
I give you this ring, as a token.
I now marry you… …”
Darling’s —
“on this special day, I give to you my promise to be by your side,
in good and bad times, in sickness and in health.
No matter what trials and tribulations may come,
I promise to always love you, comfort you and cherish you without reservation.
Now I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness to you”

I tell you, I nearly cried when I was reading our my vows! Haha. Thank you darling for your vows too!
A pity Darling is too shy to kiss me after the ring exchange…makes it look like I am forcing my kiss on her!

We commenced to the waterfall terrace for our lunch reception and darling is in for 3 surprises!

No. 1: I sang her a song by 品冠 – 无可救药. but I got Dong ting to help me make the MTV while I sing to Darling. Haha, I managed to get her to shed a few tears too! Shiok!

No. 2: I got darling to unveil a 50 x 75 cm jigsaw puzzle of us in Japan Nara with the wordings as below
” My most brilliant achievement in life is to have you as my wife”

No. 3: I blindfolded darling and presented a huge bouquet of 99 roses to her! Lolz, You can catch a glimpse of how it looks like on this website: “http://enchantedfloral.blogspot.com/”
The Giselle is the one I got the florist to create for my darling!

Darling finally kissed me!! Yeah! All these efforts to get a kiss from darling…but all worth it!

Take a look at our photo MTV done up by our PG friend Rick Lee =) He’s good.
Thanks Rick for your help! I am helping you advertise here too!
check this out! It’s beautiful! “http://slideshow.rickleephoto.net/cheeweiweixian/”

I will post more photos when I get them =)

I will slowly take you through all our scrapbook in the following entries!

Happy Birthday My Dear Wife!

6 dec is a day in history worth remembering, it is the day the heavens sent an angel down to love me =) Kekekeke…goosebumps yet??
It’s my darling’s birthday! Yay!
I got her a gift of course and I am confident to say that she loves it! What gift did I give her??? It’s something handmade with love by her DarDar me =) I shall leave it to her to blog it…if she wants to share it with the world =p But I am quite impressed at myself for being able to make it happen! Hahaha.
We went for our birthday girl treat at Dozo restaurant and shall share my experience here…heehee (dear, if you are reading this, share your view too? =p —>> arrow shot —->>)
I feel that it’s a very romantic place, all your senses will be relaxed. There’s soothing music, nice fragrance, romantic lighting and friendly staff. Not to mention the food is well planned out and exciting to see and eat and drink =)
It’s a 7 course dinner and yes, it’ll be just nice for your tummy, not too full, and you will not leave hungry.

The sticks are actually edible and comes in green tea, spices and cheese favour!

We were given this slour plum sorbet to boost our appetite then our feast begins with an chef arranged appetiser, SUI! It has scallop, foie gras and smoked salmon
Our first dish is the cold dish, Darling has the air-flown sashimi with herringfish, salmon, prawn while I had the king crab claw salad!

Next up is the starter, I had escagots and darling had this wonderfully rich chawanmushi with foie gras, check it out!

Then we have the soup! I have this crab bisque in cuppucino style (yup, supposed to drink it like U would a cuppucino and it also has bisque foam on top) and darling has the rich mushroom soup with truffle.

chewing the truffle first is supposed to bring out the mushroom aroma!

my cuppucino crab bisque

And the main dish makes their appearance! I had this wonderful beef tenderloin on a hot stone with “pu-ye” leaf while darling has her sweet cod fillet, where everything on her plate is edible! How Shiok!

Next up, we were served our fruit teas, nice, sweet and refreshing!

Darling had the mix-everything iced tea while I had my green signature Dozo minty fruit tea

Next up, Darling had her birthday cake yet again! Hahaha, this is her 4th cake this birthday, shiok right! I got her 1 slice of cake on her actual birthday at 12mn, 1 whole cake for her actual birthday celebration with her family and her sister bought her 1 cake too, and now this is the 4th! Yay!

a pity her name is spelt wrong...maybe it's my pronunciation over the phone to Dozo

And finally, how can a meal be complete without our dessert???

this is my chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream...oh heavenly...

this is darling's 2 peanut coated mua-ji with green tea ice cream topped with sparkler candy!

We had a wonderful dining experience and what better way to end it all than with a kiss? Heeheehee

and you may now kiss the bride

3 years 8 months and counting… …

Time flies… … It’s Happie Anniversary again! Kekeke. 18 Nov 09 was our 3 years 8 months anniversary and we spent it in luxury! =)
We went to meet Melanie regarding our estimated guest numbers and we have to make a number of decisions! Oh my, we increased our original plan of 30 pax to 50-60 pax! Our friends rulez!~
What we had to do… …
1) chose our invitation cards designs;
2) the inlays colour;
3) fonts for our wordings in the cards;
4) table linen;
5) seat cover;
6) lunch tables setup;
7) flowers and colours;
8) KIV wedding favours
That was quite a handful…but making those decisions makes it all the more exciting coz the date is drawing near! We want a march in as well…hmm…still undecided between marching in from the Koi pond/man made garden before our ROM proper, or walking into waterfall terrace after ROM proper… ..most likely going to choose the former. =p
We had a most scrumptious buffet dinner at The Line, kindly sponsored by my darling… heehee…will tell you why at the end of the post…

Outstanding issues to settle within these 2 months before our ROM!
1) scrapbook (have not started working on it yet, but I am sure with Dar Dar and Darling powers combined, we are Captain Scrapbook!)
2) wedding montage (heeheehee, I have been lazy I admit)
3) wedding song list
4) Darling’s ROM gown (going to look at the 99% finished product this sunday, will request minor alterations)
5) Darling’s shoes (soon-to-be ready for collection)
6) Dar Dar’s suit, shirt, pants (ready on 25 Dec 09)
7) choosing our pre-ROM shots from Venus, JB (going JB on 21 Nov to choose our photos! Can’t wait to see how beautiful my darling looks!)
8) wedding bands (they will be ready on 7 Dec 09, so exciting!!)
9) Honeymoon (going to email the Bali Villa the credit card details soon)
10) Meeting Mr Jude Yeo AKA Uncle Jude, as Darling will address him (mid December)
11) confirmation of guests, sending of wedding invites, choosing of Emcees at a later date in Dec/Jan

Now…why did Darling have to sponsor our anniversary dinner? Because she forgot my handphone number! Hahaha. =p

PS: Message me more, my dear, so you will never forget!
PPS: I still love you my dear =x

PPPS: Darling was playing with the sliding glass door sensors and making the glass doors open and close when nobody is walking through! Hahaha, and she truly enjoyed it…and I will enjoy it too coz I caught it all on video!

PPPPS: I love my darling! She’s so cute!

Date drawing nearer.. …

Suddenly feel like I am out of time! Haha…

We just went for the final fitting for our rings at Fairy’s inc last week and decided on what to engrave on the inside of our rings! Yay!

Mine will read “180306 My First ♥ My Only Darling 310110”

Hers will read “180306 My First ♥ My Only Dar Dar 310110”

It’s like I am wearing her on me and she’s wearing me on her.

The meaning of the engravings…I think is quite obvious lah! Kekeke….I can’t wait to see our rings! They must be so gorgeous! I can’t wait to put it on darling’s left ring finger too!

We are also having our photoshoot soon in Nov! Ok, it’s a makeover shoot, so I can’t wait to see how they can transform us….from plain Jack n Jane into ….hmm…. Jackopapa and Janomama….whatever, U know what I mean. Yes, I will definitely share them with the world!

Heee…we still have not enbarked on our Project Scrapbook leh…and I still have not got onto the montage project, I am now trying to think of ideas for the montage. With a more definite idea and theme, I think the montage will come out very fast…or so I hope. And of course, if I don’t fall asleep too often when doing the montage! (I am a sleepy head and always lose to the Zzz monster when doing work =p)

Oh yah, Xian is going for her wedding gown fitting very very soon! I can finally see her in her gorgeous gown! I think it will look beautiful even though the details and flowers are not sewn on yet…will show u all the pics here too!

It’s time to start consolidating our guest list soon…hoping to do by end of Oct, so that when we meet up with Shangri-la again in Nov/Dec, we can have a more definite number of guests.

So many things to do, so little time! Starting to feel the stress liao, but very enjoyable =) Coz I have my darling who is working hard too with me!

Stay tuned… …

Exciting times ahead!

Wedding bands confirmed!

Yay! We are almost married!

We confirmed our wedding bands today successfully! Xian’s ring cost $2300 while mine costs $1150. Yes, yes, yes…a lot of you will probably have jaw drop now but I tell you, it’s all worth it! Come 10, 20, 30, 50, 70 years down the road (oei, singaporeans are getting older and older mah), the rings will forever stay an integral part of us!

And we are proud to say, our pair of rings IS THE ONLY PAIR OF ITS KIND IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD! Hahahahaha be jealous, be very jealous! =p

Oops, am I too hyper?

We are going finger shopping!

Yes, did you get it right? I choose to start blogging our story today as I see it as a milestone in our love journey. Today, we are going to confirm our wedding bands customization with Fairy’s Inc!

It has been a good experience so far, customizing our rings with Fairy’s Inc. Initially I thought we could only buy rings from Lee Hwa, Soo Kee etc and never did I imagine myself to be customizing my own ring. Ok, me being the “kiam siap” guy, thought that customized rings will cost a bomb…no…an atomic bomb.. haha.

Xian and I saw this Fairy’s Inc in magazines and Xian fell in love with their rings straight away! Love at first sight! Hmm…izzit the same case for me? Love at first sight? So we asked Ling (Xian’s sister) for her opinions, since she was the wedding guru in the family as she was also planning for her ROM. “Whoa, their rings hor very nice but hor very expensive leh.”….wise sayings…but we don’t care coz we are already in love with Fairy’s Inc.

Well, I believe in getting the best for our wedding! Money is meant to be spent, as I always said to darling =) So we made an apointment with Fairy’s Inc and the rest is history. We made several appointments, each being a 2-3 hour discussion with Sandra (our ring designer). We will plough through the internet looking at pictures of what our dream ring will look like and present the pictures to Sandra. She will go through 1 by 1, then after much discussion, both xian and I love the final design! The main theme is braids. It signifies 2 vines when intertwined together, will become a strong rope! And this is what I hope our marriage will be. 2 person joining hands to mould a strong beautiful future!

110181our rings evolved from this…so let your imagination run wild bah! Hahaha

Tada!!! Our rings shall be born today! Hmm….sorry, the embryo of our rings shall be implanted in the womb today!

Will update at a later stage when our rings are born =)
