NYP

Today marks another milestone in my Darling’s life, the donning of another graduation robe =) This time from the Advanced Diploma for Critical Care in NYP.
She worked really hard for this course, studying damn hard, and I am so glad she is able to pull through the course of studying. I can see how stressed she is during the course, rushing assignments, preparing for presentation, doing research, group projects and studying till late at night. 辛苦了Darling! =x
You deserved this!

Although she finished the course last year, the graduation ceremony is only held this year, together with the graduating class of new nursing diploma holders. I wonder how darling is feeling when she sees her juniors getting their first professional qualification… … maybe it will bring back fond memories?

Darling is a surprise world cup fan!

Yup, I am totally surprised when darling told me she loved the world cup!Haha, yeah! Which means that I can watch my favorite soccer with my darling by my side the next time I have my own TV, my own sofa in my very own Punggol love nest!
Darling has been stressed about the adv dip. course lately, and the added on pressures of more and more assignments, presentations, journals are really driving my darling up the wall….lucky there is this beacon of light in the world cup 2010!
Darling supported me when she allowed me to go watch my favorite Holland team play and win against Denmark. We then watched the Argentina vs S Korea match on her laptop using TVU player and the Holland 1-0 win against Japan (which Darling felt sad for the Japanese after the match). We watched how Germany thrashed England 4-1 and Darling felt pity for England as their second goal was denied by the referee. We saw how Holland brushed aside Slovakia on TVU player too.
I can still remember how we were standing by the roadside in between hordes of ah bu neh nehs, siamming the intermittent puffs of smelly tobacco smoke….we were watching Holland win Brazil 2-1. That one got darling quite sad as she loved Brazil.
We decided to watch the next match Argentina vs Germany more comfortably, so I researched the possible places to watch the match in peace and comfort without air-pollution and Viola~ MacDonald’s fits perfectly. The boon keng one was small and crampy… …we tried to go there for the holland-brazil game and really cramped out, so ended up with the banglahs. This time we went to the kallang stadium boulevald one 1-2 hours before the match started!
Crowded as expected but we managed to have a decent meal (with the world cup glass cup) but we had no luck with seats around the TV screen. Yup, we ended up standing for the whole match, with a large ice lemon tea in hand. But the match sure is exciting! Klose rulez totally with 2 goals! Haha.
The world cup has provided me and darling a new outlet for dates and I thank FIFA for it. Can’t wait for the matches on sat and the Finals on sun! GoGoGO HOLLAND!

busy stressful times

Busy and stessful times ahead.
Exams and tests always never fail to get people all stessed up…who invented tests and exams anyway? Why can’t they give us marks based on our attendance during lectures? Can’t they just trust that we will study after we go for the lectures? Sianz…..why must they use tests to stress people.
My poor darling is having her second test today….twice in as many weeks…she just survived 1 last week. I think she is already near her exploding point soon.
Her syllabus is really gruelling for her, MY GOD, look at the massive amount of notes she has to look through for today’s test alone! I pity darling but I still have faith in her! Jiayou darling!
I feel really bad in not being able to help her much. I can’t remember my own stuff even! How can I test darling on things which I myself do not know very well? I think I should start studying soon….”think” is the word I must avoid, coz i always “think” but never “act”.
I must say I am very impressed with darling, She rattles off the ECG and interprets the ECG with such ease! Even when I was a medical student, I cannot interpret as fast as her! And her ABG interpretation skills is superb too. 2 of my weakest points, she handles them damn well. Darling is smart!
I don’t know how the test went for darling but I wish her luck.
I have yet to see her tonight…can’t wait to give her a big warm hug and say “well done, U did well” to her! And to give her a peck on the forehead… …
thank goodness she is having a short break next week.

a first for everything =)

This is an entry to commemorate the first blog entry using Darling’s brand new Lenovo Y460 riding on the Wireless@SG network at Bras Brasah Mac’s =)

It’s been a long time since the last entry…
I am still waiting for darling to write her new entry…heehee. When she’s free, I supposed she will write bah.

She’s busy. Darling has just started on a new journey as a student. Yup, she has signed up for the critical care advanced diploma. She’s going to be the future SUPER CRITICAL CARE NURSE! Yeah! I am so ashamed of myself man…haha. All my ABGs, my ECGs, my V-Q ratios etc all thrown into the drain. So paiseh that I cannot answer Darling’s queries on those topics which I used to know…I guess it’s back to Guyton’s physiology green textbook again. I wanna thank darling for getting me back to my reading days! Yeah! I also wanna answer darling’s every questions! All the best darling! I am sure you can do it!
(darling is next to me studying ECG while I was typing this, together with Agnes, who is a fellow advanced diploma student) A study group or a study buddy totally helps in your studies! Jiayou darling!

Later we are going to Suntec for dinner! It’s a pre-birthday dinner together with darling and my family =) Chose to eat at Imperial Treasures Nan Bei restaurant at Suntec fountain…hope it’s a good choice!
Wireless@SG is really quite fast.. Haha, ok, shall go surf surf liao!
